How To Obtain Peace For Your Country?

SPRING 1916
1st Apparition of the Angel of Peace: "My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love thee. I beg pardon for all those, who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love thee." "Pray in this way. The hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to your prayers."

SUMMER 1916
2nd Apparition of the Angel of Peace: "You must constantly offer your prayers and sacrifices to God, the Most High.’ ‘How are we to sacrifice? Lucia asked. ‘In every possible way offer sacrifice to God in reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners. In this way you will bring peace to your country."

This is the message the World Apostolate of Fatima (WAF) is urgently spreading throughout the world and Our Country in the United States of America. After being elevated to a Pontifical Council of the Laity, and being realized by JPII  and BenedictXVI the urgency of the Fatima message,  WAF-USA  is spreading the message to pray the Pardon Prayer. Currently, there are 33,000 committed persons praying this prayer. Please join us in this effort to obtain the graces of Peace in our country. The Angel of Peace said, to the three Fatima Visionaries,  this was the way to bring Peace to our country. Pray this prayer everyday, and even more than once a day offering up sacrifices at every moment.

PARDON PRAYER

"My God I believe, I adore, I hope and I love thee. I beg pardon for all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love thee."

HOW DO WE OFFER UP SACRIFICES?

In answer to this question posed by the child Lucia, Our Lord explained to her: "The sacrifice required of every person is the fulfillment of his duties in life and the observance of My law. This is the penance that I now seek and require."

Please consider in making a commitment to praying the Pardon Prayer everyday for our country by contacting the World Apostolate of Fatima. In return, you will receive two copies of the SOUL Magazine for free.
The SOUL magazine is to help us learn more about Fatima and to learn why our last two Popes are urging the world to heed to the messages of Fatima for us Today!  If Peace was not possible, Our Lady would not have given us specific instructions on how to create a world where we accept our differences, put God first, and live in harmony.

Contact WAF-USA if you desire to pray this little prayer for Peace for our country.

URGENT MESSAGE FROM FR. ANDREW APOSTOLI / Spiritual Advisor, World Apostolate of Fatima

Dear Members of the World Apostolate of Fatima and all who love Our Lady,

On November 6th, 2012, the United States of America will face one of the most crucial elections in her 236 year history. The outcome will profoundly shape our future. Either we will become a more secular, more atheistic and more socialist state with more government control, or we will become a more democratic state.  With respect for individual freedoms and a reassertion of our nation’s Motto: “In God We Trust!” this struggle is not simply political in nature; at its deepest dimension, it is profoundly spiritual. Blessed Pope John Paul II said back in 1976 that the Roman Catholic Church is engaged in the greatest spiritual struggle of her 2000 year history. What is at stake is the entire Christian culture built up in the World for the past two Millennia.
That culture rests primarily on three important Catholic (and human) values: the sanctity of human life, the sanctity of Marriage between one Man and one Woman, and the God-given right to freedom of religion. We Must pray that those elected will support these values. since it is a spiritual battle, I propose the following:

(1) Beginning on October 7th , the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, say the rosary faithfully each day
till the election.
Our Mother revealed herself during the apparition of the “Miracle of the Sun” on October 13th as “Our Lady of the Rosary.” October 7th was originally called “Our Lady of Victories,” established to thank Our Lady for obtaining a great victory for the christian fleet over a Militarily superior foe at the Battle of Lepanto on October 7th, 1571. As that fierce battle raged, the pope at the time, St. Pius V, had the people of Rome continuously offer the rosary for a victory that saved the Catholic faith in Europe.

(2) On Saturday, November 3rd, the First Saturday of the Month and only 4 Days before the election,
we are asking that you arrange for a Holy Mass to be offered through your Waf cell in your local parish church or chapel. if possible, the intention of the Mass should be “For God and Country.” (this Must be done With the necessary approval of your pastor or religious superior.) What blessings and spiritual power would flow from these many Masses! Where a special Mass is not possible, then just attend the regular Mass in your parish or another parish, and make your intention be “For God and Country!”

(3) You could then conclude with the regular Five First Saturday Devotion prayers: confession (Which now you can make any day of the Month ), receive holy communion, pray a rosary and then keep our Lady Company for 15 Minutes meditating on some of the other Mysteries of the rosary. All these should be done with the intention of offering reparation for offences against our Lady’s Immaculate Heart!
If you will be arranging a Mass in your Diocese for this event on November 3rd, please keep us informed by contacting the national coordinator, Deacon Ellis, at: rellis@bluearmy.com so We can advertise it on our Website.

"Who am I that the Mother of my Lord should visit me" Luke 1:43

A very special visit of the Fatima National Pilgrim Virgin Statue will be occurring in our diocese of Rockville Centre, New York, from November 7th - November 20th, 2012. The complete visitation schedule is presented here, below.

Please follow her requests of the First Five Saturdays and wear the brown scapular. Please spread the word about her requests and her Visit. Her visit will be as though we ourselves went to Fatima.

The child visionary , Jacinta said on her death bed, " Tell everyone that God gives us His grace through His Mother's Immaculate Heart, which He wants to hold close to His own Sacred Heart. The people must ask for peace through Mary's Immaculate Heart, because that is the way God wants it, and that is what Our Lady herself has told us. "

Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI both want us to know the urgency of Fatima for today!
More information about Fatima can be found at http://www.wafusa.org/. "The World Apostolate of Fatima is the Church's official conveyer of The Message of Fatima to the World, and, as such, speaks with ecclesiastical authority on all matters pertaining to it."

The Statue was national virgin pilgrim statueblessed by Pope Paul VI during his visit to Fatima in 1967. The National Pilgrim Virgin Statue is available for diocesan visits. The statue can be the focal point of renewing interest in the Fatima Message and informing many Catholics who are unaware of the important message of conversion and peace brought by the Mother of God to three shepherd children in 1917 at Fatima, Portugal. The Statue travels around America under the sponsorship of the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA, spreading the important Message of Fatima. Typically, the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue will tour for three weeks in a given diocese. The custodian accompanying the statue will talk about Our Lady’s Message of Fatima." http://www.wafusa.org/npvs.html

The Cloth of Our Lady of Mount Carmel: The Brown Scapular

Here in lies an explanation about the clothing Our Lady made for us, it is the Brown Scapular. Yes, she made us clothing for us to wear. It is ages old, but Our Lady first presented it to St Simon Stock on July 16th, 1251.

Was there ever a time when you bought or made a piece of clothing for your child to wear, or even for someone you loved very much? Perhaps you bought a piece of jewelry? Well, Our Lady made clothing for us. She wants us to remember that she is always there for us, to protect us. She also wants to know, through our actions, that we always think of Her. The clothing she made for us is the Brown Scapular. All the people of the World are her children, but those with her clothing on, get extra special attention because we accept that clothing and ask for her protection and in return constantly do things for Her. In wearing the Brown Scapular, we Consecrate (definition: to dedicate (one's life, time, to a specific purpose.) ourselves to Our Lady.
                                                             The Brown Scapular
    Old Testament History
Mount Carmel is on the northwestern coast of Palestine. The Hebrew word for Carmel means 'Beautiful Garden Land'. Truly that is what Our Lady is, the beautiful garden that brought forth Jesus Christ, Our Savior.

The Origin of Carmel goes back to about 860 B.C. to the time of the prophet Elijah and his victory over the pagan prophets and their god, Baal. The account of this event is given in 1 Kings 18:19-40. The Jewish people had taken to worshipping false gods, especially the god Baal. Their evil King Ahab had married the gentile, Jezebel, who worshipped Baal. The king built a temple to this pagan deity. When the prophets denounced him for this, he had them killed. Elijah stood firm and challenged the prophets of Baal to gather on Mount Carmel to determine which God, Baal or the Lord was the true God. Each built a stone altar with firewood and a sacrificial bull upon it. The "God" who would send fire from Heaven upon the altar would be accepted as the true God.

The prophets of Baal prayed and danced and chanted all day to no avail. Elijah, though before beginning his prayer poured gallons of water over his sacrifice, making it humanly impossible to light the fire. Elijah called upon the Lord and immediately a bolt of lightning came down from heaven consuming the sacrifice and the stones of the altar.

The pagan prophets were killed and Elijah went into hiding on Mount Carmel. Later a community of prophets joined him. They dwelt in caves, praying to God, living in peace.

Brothers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Before coming into Europe, the Carmelites were hermits living on Mount Carmel in Palestine.             They believed themselves to be the spiritual sons of Elijah. They led a life of contemplation,             modeled after the prophet.

The early Carmelites were Hebrew and they wore a dark brown cloth which covered their whole body. As time progressed, the cloth shrank in size to what it is today.

Our Lady of Fatima and the Brown Scapular

The Brown Scapular is part of the spiritual practice of the Apostlate members of Fatima.

On October 13th 1917, when the last apparition of Our Lady occured along with the great miracle of the sun, Our Lady of Mount Carmel appeared holding out the Brown Scapular. This vision was not only seen  by the three visionaries, but by all who were present for the miracle, 70,000+ witnesses and people in the neighboring areas. For this reason, members of the World Apostolate of Fatima wear the Brown Scapular as part of their devotion.

               "OUR LADY WANTS EVERYONE TO WEAR IT (THE BROWN SCAPULAR);
IT IS THE SIGN OF CONSECRATION TO HER IMMACULATE HEART.”
                                                   – Lucia dos Santos (Child seer of Fatima)

Many Promises are attached to wearing the Brown Scapular given by Our Mother, under the title Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

“Wear the Scapular devoutly and perseveringly. It is my garment. To be clothed in it means you are continually thinking of me, and I in turn, am always thinking of you and helping you to secure eternal life.”

“Take this Scapular, it shall be a sign of salvation, a protection in danger and a pledge of peace. Whosoever dies wearing this Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.” This is Mary’s promise made July 16, 1251 to Saint Simon Stock.

STEP ONE: The Offering Prayer

MORNING OFFERING
To be said every morning upon waking.

O my God, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, (here kiss your Brown Scapular as a sign of your consecration. this carries a partial indulgence.) I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Jesus present on all the altars of the world, joining with it the offering of my every thought, word and action of this day.

O my Jesus, I desire today to gain every indulgence and merit I can, and I offer them, together with myself, to Mary Immaculate - that she may best apply them to the interests of Thy Most Sacred Heart. Precious Blood of Jesus, save us!  Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us! Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Patricius, Violent Husband of Saint Monica

Saint Monica was a woman of great strength. Being well educated, and baptized in her teens, she was married by arrangement to a local government official. Patricius was his name, and violent tempered was his disposition.

Many women are battered by husbands they trusted in marriage, but how many remain married? When a husband belittles his wife, the wife is scorned as Our Lord was scorned by His people Israel. The relationship of Jesus and His Church is the image of husband and wife. The marriage of husband and wife is symbolic to Christians of when the Bride-Groom returns for His Church at the end of earthly time. The Bride, pure of heart , walking in great trust, her whole heart to the Groom , adorned in the most beautiful costume of jewels, veils, and creamy skin to the touch. Christians are to walk to their Lord, beautifully adorned, veiled and pure of heart, offering Her whole heart to Him, with complete Trust. The sight of a bride is always a wonderful sight to behold, but more beautiful when contemplating the deeper meaning of God's Love for His people.

Trust. Multiple times Our Lord appeared to Saint Faustina expressing our need to Trust in Him. As individual brides, we walk slowly, falling, battling the world around us, but Jesus says to Trust in Him. He stands at the end of a tunnel, saying Trust, Trust, Trust. He asked for us to recite, "Jesus I Trust in You, Jesus I trust in You, Jesus, I Trust in You. Keeping this in mind, let's go back to Saint Monica.

Saint Monica, could be viewed as a woman of great Trust in Jesus. How else could she endure a violent tempered husband and a wayward, adult son? She battled the enemies of this earth with great courage, but only because she had the gift of Trusting Our Lord. Who can endure the tunnel of darkness if the light of Jesus was not at the other end beckoning us to keep walking?

Monica's Mothers prayer cell was formed to reach out to Mothers who want to pray for their children, wayward or not. Mothers with difficult husbands is part of the dynamics. Mothers need to find that light at the end of the tunnel in order to go on. I hope and pray that Monica's Mothers Prayer cell, under the direction of The World Apostolate of Fatima, will bring the gifts of strength, courage, and Trust to all mothers who join in prayer.  Whether one has a difficult husband or not, praying for our husbands is part of the duty of a wife: the participation of the salvific calling in the Sacrament of Marriage, helping our husbands walk to the Lord.

Following the devotion of Our Lady of Fatima's requests, results in the ultimate goal of the conversion of all hearts toward Our Groom in Heaven, whom we all await.

NOVENA PRAYER TO ST MONICA

Dear St. Monica, wife and mother, who bore many sorrows. Teach me never to despair or lose faith. Share with me your confidence persistence and steady faith, as you prayed only to bring your husband, Patricius and your son Augustine to the Lord.

Intercede for me, dear St Monica, that God may favorably hear my plea for (mention your petition here) - but grant me the grace to accept His will in all things, whatever it may be - through Jesus Christ, our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Monica's Mothers Purpose

Monica’s Mothers is one prayer cell responding to Our Lady of Fatima’s Request under the spiritual direction of the World Apostolate of Fatima (http://www.wafusa.org/).  This prayer cell is a call to mothers with adult children to come together and pray for the needs of their adult children, while learning the messages and request Our Lady of Fatima has made.  We pray the Rosary together once a month, and privately we make sacrifices for souls.  Because of the promises attached to the devotion of Our Lady of Fatima, the graces obtained at our Rosary meetings has been Hope and Peace. The mission of Monica’s Mother is the salvation of souls and the goal is the multiplication of prayer cells across Long Island.  We want to help Our Lady of Fatima’s Immaculate Heart to Triumph, a prophecy given to the world by Our Lady. The more who join this cause the sooner we will have the Reign of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart and Peace in this world!

                                           Jacinta         Lucia         Francisco
Jacinta Marto, the Child Fatima Visionary, said at the time of her death of age 9 (nine): "Tell everyone that God gives us His grace through His Mother's Immaculate Heart, which He wants to hold close to His own Sacred Heart. The people must ask for peace through Mary's Immaculate Heart, because that is the way God wants it, and that is what Our Lady herself has told us."

                                 Please, consider joining Monica’s Mothers.
                                                  Your Mother is calling.

                                God Bless You!
